D-Day Past, Danger Still Here

It was Robert Spencer, proprietor of Jihad Watch, who first warned of the possible danger of an Iranian unconventional attack on August 22. That “possible” is crucial, for many on the Left now accuse him, and those who took after him on that warning (like Bernard Lewis), of crying wolf, of alarmism, of adding to the “neo-con culture of fear”, although he never said an attack was certain, only possible.

Is Ahmadinejad now smiling at having made the infidels fearful for a whole day? I don’t know and I don’t care. Sure, I was agitated for most of that day, and the night was almost sleepless, yet far from accusing Spencer of being alarmist, I commend him for his responsibility. Spencer did the job required of the watchman:

“But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the horn, and the people be not warned, and the sword do come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.” (Ezekiel 33:6)

Better he warn and it not come than he not warn and it come upon us unawares. HaShem be thanked for delaying the dreadful day (of which our sages said, yete v’la achmine—“when it comes, let me not be there to see it”), Spencer is to be commended for every warning, now and in the future, and let shame be heaped upon the Left for their dhimmitude and their calling the good evil and the evil good.

So nothing happened on that day, praise be to G-d. But let there be no complacency: the Iranians are working toward the goal of building nuclear weapons and, G-d forbid, using them. The reasons for them not doing anything on August 22 are unknown (conventional thinking would have it that it was because they hadn’t finished making a nuclear weapon yet, though Newt Gingrich, who sees the gathering storm on the horizon for what it is, said they could have easily acquired one from North Korea, which is known to have them), but the reprieve is only temporary, unless Islam is neutralized. It is thought that a strike on Iran would halt their plans, but there is no guarantee of being able to strike down all nuclear launchers on time (just as Hizbullah’s katyusha launchers proved difficult for the Israeli Air Force to find). And even if that goal could be achieved, the reprieve granted thereby would still be temporary, because it is not only Ahmadinejad who believes in the Islamic End Times vision. Al-Quaeda would be just as happy to lay hands on an unconventional warhead and use it on non-Muslims.

We’re in for the long haul, and the journey toward lasting peace has hardly even started. Even the temporary reprieve that might be gained by striking at Iran doesn’t look like being achieved any time soon, because the appeasement-minded statesmen of the world are insisting on buying Iran with incentive packages, and even the USA is loathe to do anything substantial, because of fear of Iraq-like repercussions. Imagine when the non-Muslim will finally get around to the necessary (and the only efficient one) step of de-Islamization!

It seems the miracles we need right now are less of the physical kind and more mental ones: miracles of people changing their minds away from the assumption of bringing the hatred of Muslims upon them by their own deeds, and the miracle of fortitude to be involved in a war that only G-d knows how long will last, and of which humans know only that it will be full of “blood, toil and tears”, with but the hope to win and secure lasting peace for humankind.

Do not sleep.

Hello ZionistYoungster and all,

RE:" It seems the miracles we need right now are less of the physical kind and more mental ones: miracles of people changing their minds..."

As you wish...

I pose to you and others that the context and meaning of these ancient texts have been lost on those confused by the assertions of religious leaders and founders. Ancient wisdom has been purposely recast and obfuscated into religion and mysticism. Consequently, the interpretations presented about the sources and meaning of these texts and the philosophy and cosmology of ancient Hebrew sages is completely wrong. Before you scoff and write me off, you should understand that I speak from personal experience...

Understanding the Fatal Flaws in Judeo-Christian-Islamic Prophecy

Remember the saying that "the truth will set you (and others) free?" How does "opening one's eyes to the truth" relate to "making the blind see again" or "shining the light" or "illuminating a subject?" Notice the inherent symbolism associated with this supposed New Testament "miracle?"

As certain world leaders strive to instigate a fabricated "battle of Armageddon," it is vital to understand and spread the truth about these ancient texts to help bring about an end to such abominable evil. You can never expect philosophies based on lies and great error to lead to peace and harmony. How many more millennia of terrible proof is necessary before humanity finally gets a clue that most have been utterly deceived by the very concept of religion.

Without it, Bush, the Neo-Cons, and their cohorts could never have gained and retained political power by manipulating an already deluded and susceptible constituency. Likewise, their thinly veiled partners in crime, Bin Laden and his ilk, could never have succeeded in their roles in this centuries-old Vatican-led grand deception.

We are all trapped by a web of deception formed by money, religion, and politics. The great evils that bedevil us all will never cease until humanity finally awakens, shakes off these strong delusions, and forges a new path to the future.

Here is Wisdom...

Peace...

Hello Seven Star Hand,

First off, I'm a Jew, so any eschatology I believe in is based only on the Tanach (Christians' "Old Testament") and the sages' commentaries upon it, not on the Christian New Testament. It may not make or break this discussion, but it should be kept in mind. Now for the quibbles...

SSH: I pose to you and others that the context and meaning of these ancient texts have been lost on those confused by the assertions of religious leaders and founders. Ancient wisdom has been purposely recast and obfuscated into religion and mysticism.

ZY: I see, in my mind, a picture of David Koresh.

SSH: Before you scoff and write me off, you should understand that I speak from personal experience...

ZY: All New Agers make themselves prophets, but the truth is G-d does not bring more prophets than necessary. The Tanach is complete, and all the rest is commentary.

SSH: As certain world leaders strive to instigate a fabricated "battle of Armageddon," it is vital to understand and spread the truth about these ancient texts to help bring about an end to such abominable evil.

ZY: The "great and dreaded day of HaShem" is proclaimed by Isaiah, one of His prophets. What HaShem wills cannot be stopped by mere humans wanting things to be otherwise.

SSH: Without it, Bush, the Neo-Cons, and their cohorts could never have gained and retained political power by manipulating an already deluded and susceptible constituency.

ZY: Hey, wasn't the Pope supposed to be your Antichrist? At least so I heard 'til a few years back. What made you change your minds and replace him with Bush? Ah, I get it: the Pope still is, and Bush is the Beast. And what would Condi be in your philosophy? ;-)

SSH: Likewise, their thinly veiled partners in crime, Bin Laden and his ilk, could never have succeeded in their roles in this centuries-old Vatican-led grand deception.

ZY: I will play psychiatrist now. Doctor's orders: cut on the dosage of Chick Tracts, or the Star Wars prequel trilogy, or both.

SSH: The great evils that bedevil us all will never cease until humanity finally awakens, shakes off these strong delusions, and forges a new path to the future.

ZY: I rest my case. Thank you for the feeback, Maitreya. Sleep well on those fluffy clouds.

AN INSPIRING STORY OF MARTYRDOM

A Muslim shaheed or ‘martyr’ (one who dies while killing infidels), may intercede with Allah to take 70 of his relatives to paradise with him, no matter what their sins.

This thought kept going through Papa's mind as he was considering a career for Sharif, the youngest and most useless of his eleven sons and umpteen daughters. Sharif wasn't much good for anything in this world, he couldn't even remember more than five aliases when filling in his welfare claims.

So a family council was called, and targets discussed. Aircraft, schools and trains had their pros and cons. But then Sharif's sister Parveen had a brain-wave. "Killing Christians is indeed pleasing to Allah, but you get treble points for killing Joooooz. - Let's send him to Israel"

Everybody was in agreement apart from Momma, who wondered how Sharif was going to feed himself in paradise since this was the first time he'd been away from home and he couldn't even open a can.

"No problem" Papa explained "Out of 72 virgins some of them are going to be able to cook." Momma was not convinced they’d be able to cook as well as her.

Meanwhile Sharif went to the local Mosque’s laboratory to mix the relevant ingredients in the correct proportions.

The great day came, and Sharif rushed into an Israeli seaside bar shouting "I love Pepsi Cola more than you love death! Akkah Albar!" - He never could get anything right.

He pressed the detonator and there was a fizzle, and then a flame from his bomb belt - but no bang. Sharif was no great genius at chemistry, he'd made an incendiary mixture instead of explosives.

In an effort to extinguish the flames, Sharif ran out and jumped into the sea. It worked, but then he remembered he’d never learned to swim.

The body was washed up in due course, leaving and Papa and Momma very uncertain. Could Sharif be a Shaheed by just killing himself without taking any infidels with him? Eventually they decided to visit a medium to make contact and find out what he was doing in the afterlife.

“Tell me was it’s like where you are” said Papa.
Sharif’s voice came through the medium sounding squeaky and distorted. “Well, I get up in the morning and have sex. Then I have a lettuce. I have sex again. Then I have a cucumber. Then more sex and celery and so on for the rest of the day.”

“Sex, sex and more sex!” Papa said “Truly my son you are indeed a Shaheed!”

But Momma was still a little anxious “You’ll need more than salad to keep your strength up with all that exercise. Aren’t they feeding you properly in paradise?”

“Who said anything about paradise?” Sharif’s voice replied. “I’ve been reincarnated as a rabbit in Salinas valley.”
